Great picture, Sam.
It expresses the wishes for the season perfectly!
And a very merry (belated and spooky) Christmas to you . . .

Hmmmn ... Am I the tree...? Well I didn't really intend any literal symbolic meaning, but now you come to mention it.... yes! You could be right! I am the tree!

My body plagued by small frightened parasites, I decorate myself in a pathetic attempt to add cheer to my eerie surroundings ...

Donald is my dearest friend, who told me I should draw more pictures and put them in my blog. He also tells me very tasty stories which he won't let me repeat ...

Thats an interesting reply Sam! I see you as the tree, the strength and sparkle in your loved ones lives, bravely warding off all sins and demons :) Some see the xmas tree as a symbol of the Cross? Now that beggers a whole new discussion.
And I concur with Donald and Matt. I look forward to many more drawings.

Jenny draws well too.
I went to an exhibition of her work, in St.Kilda a few years ago.

The two of you certainly have the ability to produce publishable illustrated writing.
